A lifelong Memphian, Ebonye Bowie Reed earned her Bachelor’s degree at Lake Forest College in Illinois. On campus, she also met her husband to whom she has been married for 15 years.
While working at Christian Brothers University, she seized an opportunity to be Chief Housing Officer. Managing the logistics of physical plant, maintenance, and the programming needs of the residents was fast-paced and enjoyable. Many days, she walked from the office to the classroom as she earned her Master of Business Administration.
At ADT, Ebonye spent 7 years as a security consultant and loved designing systems to help others protect what mattered most to them. She honed her ability to discover her client’s needs then tailor a custom solution that gave them peace of mind. The daughter of an entrepreneur, working the business division was a natural fit. She felt special pride and responsibility in creating solutions for business-owners as they built their dreams from scratch. Later, as manager of the residential department, her team protected enough homes for her to achieve the 12th-ranked spot in the country.
She also served as an ADT Always Cares Captain. Projects under her leadership have benefited seniors, young children, and the JUICE Orange Mound community organization.
From a young age, Ebonye had always been inspired by her grandmother. This visionary businesswoman had a successful career in real estate among other pursuits. After years in protecting property, she decided to help Memphians find the place that felt like home.
When she isn’t cheering for the Grizzlies, you may catch her listening to Memphis’ best performers at the Green Room or the WKND. Ebonye enjoys logging miles on her Peloton and seeing how many trees she can identify at the arboretum at Shelby Farms.
